Life in general has never been the same again since COVID-19 became a global pandemic early this year.

Industries and companies, both the small and big ones, have been adversely affected.

But even if Metro Manila is currently under the general community quarantine, major adjustments had to be made by engineers and staff here at RENCOR.

Health protocols as mandated by the Department of Health are now in place at the RENCOR’s head office in Mandaluyong. But truth is, engineers and staff have to go through the new and adjusted system to ensure the day to day operations won’t be hampered.

“Still adjusting (to the new health protocols). Marami pong nabago sa pag galaw sa office. Pati po ung flow ng work. Kasi po turnover sa mga co-workers na papasok the next day,” shared Kenneth Morfe, who functions as RENCOR’s service and maintenance engineer.

Safety and health measures have since been implemented when RENCOR resumed operations last June 1.

Social distancing being implemented inside RENCOR’s premises, part of the new health protocols as the company is one in fighting and defeating COVID-19.

“If above 37.5 degress C ang papasok via thermal scanner, kailangan lang maghintay ng five minutes to cool down. Kapag di pa rin bumaba, di na po papapasukin sa (building) premises,” explained Engr. Morfe.

Once the member of RENCOR’s staff or a guest gets cleared from the thermal scanner, he or she will then fill up a form DOH for contact tracing purposes.

Chairs have been provided should there be more people coming in to the building. Social distancing is also being strictly implemented.

Just outside the building, there are also yellow lines serving as marker of social distancing, along with foot mat beside the guard post.

“May foot mat din tayo at my area na may UV light for disinfection ng bags and shoes.  So every time na papasok kami, we need to change or dapat balot yung uniform namin ng jacket. Hindi dapat exposed for those who travel,” said Rhowena Chavez, who works in the administrative department of RENCOR.

These changes may be stringent, but RENCOR simply wants to make sure that the company will be able to continue providing comfort and convenience to its valued clients even under the new normal.
